Jussi Aittola is a Senior Partner at Sphere State Group, where he leads cryptocurrency investigations and supports complex litigation, disputes, fraud, digital asset crime, and asset recovery matters globally. 

With over 25 years of experience spanning law enforcement, financial intelligence, cybersecurity, and blockchain investigations, Jussi has more than 16 years of hands-on expertise in cryptocurrency cases. He previously served at Finland’s National Bureau of Investigation, where he worked in the Financial Intelligence Unit, developed cryptocurrency investigative capabilities, and contributed to Finland’s implementation of the EU’s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive.  

After leaving government service, Jussi relocated to Singapore and joined Chainalysis as Senior Investigator, later becoming Head of Investigations for Asia-Pacific. He subsequently held senior leadership roles at CipherBlade (CEO APAC) and Merkle Science (Senior Director), covering APAC and EMEA. Prior to his government career, he spent over a decade as an entrepreneur in cybersecurity and technology.
