Björn Wahlström is the Chief Executive Officer of Sphere State Group, where he leads the firm’s global strategy and operations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.  

With over 20 years of experience in corporate investigations, asset recovery, and risk management, Björn specialises in cross-border matters, particularly those involving Greater China. He advises corporations, investors, and stakeholders on due diligence, operational resilience, supply chain integrity, market entry and exit strategies, and complex investigations. 

Before becoming CEO in 2019, he served as Director of Operations at Sphere State Group, where he built the firm’s risk management practice and oversaw Asia-Pacific activities. His earlier career in China included roles as General Manager at Versant Procurement and Quality Control Manager at SCA Hygiene Products, where he managed sourcing, supplier compliance, quality programmes, and intellectual property protection across multiple manufacturing sites. 

He has held senior leadership positions with Counterfeit Intelligence Services Australia-Asia (CISAA) and Keylink Associates, managing investigations, brand protection, and due diligence assignments for multinational clients across high-risk sectors including crypto, payments, pharmaceuticals, and online gaming.Björn is fluent in English, Mandarin, Swedish, and German.  

He also serves as Chair of CSC Partners.
