Amber Ma is an investigations, brand protection, and risk management specialist with more than 16 years of experience leading complex investigations and enforcement operations across mainland China. 

As a Partner at Sphere State Group, she advises multinational corporations, legal teams, and private clients on intellectual property protection, corporate investigations, due diligence, and operational risk, leading cross-border engagements throughout Greater China and internationally. 

Prior to joining Sphere State Group’s leadership team in 2022, Amber spent nearly a decade managing intellectual property and brand security programmes for Fortune 500 companies, overseeing investigative teams and coordinating high-profile enforcement actions with law enforcement authorities across China. Her expertise spans anti-counterfeiting initiatives, trademark and patent protection, fraud investigations, and business intelligence. 

A Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with an MBA from the University of Wales, Amber combines strategic insight with extensive operational experience. Fluent in English and Mandarin, with working proficiency in Cantonese and Spanish, she is recognised for her ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver effective outcomes in complex, high-pressure environments.
