FEMA has posted a calendar of security trainings entitled “Protecting Places of Worship Weeks of Action 2025: Calendar of Events.”

They describe it as a series of webinars throughout the month of September to strengthen safety and security at faith-based and community organizations.

The webinars they say are aimed at providing practical tools, resources, and training to enhance security at places of worship and community spaces.

Topics include suspicious activity recognition, bomb threat assessment, active shooter preparedness, surveillance detection, and conflict prevention strategies.

I note one webinar to consider:

“House of Worship Active Shooter” CISA Tabletop Exercise Package (CTEP) Workshop

This virtual workshop will inform faith-based organizations about Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) downloadable exercise packages. The workshop will also provide tips, training, and advice for conducting your own exercise and enhancing your preparedness/resilience.
