NSGP Funding Revealed in the President’s FY 2026 Budget Request

This is a collaboration between Sphere State and Robert Goldberg Associates.

The President has submitted to Congress a $115.6 billion Department of Homeland Security Budget request for fiscal year 2026. This amounts to an approximately $4.6 billion increase over enacted levels for FY 2025.

This amount includes $36.2 billion for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which constitutes an increase of more than $3.9 billion over FY 2025 enacted levels.

[Note: These figures do not include the additional multi-year funding for DHS that the President is seeking through the reconciliation legislation (H.R.1 – One Big Beautiful Bill Act) that passed the House and is pending consideration in the Senate.]
